During the last fifteen minutes, brush on a cup of your favorite store-bought barbecue sauce and voila, you’re done!

First, trim the fat off two, one-pound pork tenderloins and toss a couple of whole red peppers on the grill to roast for awhile. Then brush with olive oil and apply a rub consisting of 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon muscovado sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and freshly ground black pepper and 1 teaspoon chili powder. Cook the tenderloins over medium-hot coals and grill for 30 minutes.

Let it cool, pull the meat apart with a fork until the roast is shredded, then throw it back in the crock pot with chopped onion and BBQ sauce, heating on high for 1-3 hours.

Some recipes allow you to place a pork shoulder roast over a barbecues propane grill too, seasoned with a dry rub of 2 tablespoons paprika, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1 tablespoon ground cumin, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1-1/2 teaspoons black pepper, 2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon ground red pepper, grilled on low heat for 2.5 to 3 hours and topped with a vinegary BBQ sauce.
